Strike looms as health workers protest in Abuja over nonpayment of allowances

Health workers are currently protesting in the Federal Capital Territory, threatening an indefinite strike beginning at midnight unless the Federal Government addresses their grievances.

According to reports, the Joint Health Workers Union represents these hardworking professionals.

They are demanding immediate payment of hazard allowances as well as a revision of the Consolidated Health Salary Structure to align with the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure.

Protesters also demand an end to discriminatory practises in the healthcare industry, among other things.
