The personal mansion of Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, the outgoing governor of Kano state, was completely destroyed by fire on Miyangu Street in Nassarawa GRA Kano.
The State Fire Service told newsmen on Thursday that the outbreaks happened on Monday night and that they were a result of the incident.
Saminu Abdullahi, the State Fire Service’s public relations officer, revealed that when firefighters arrived at the house, the fire had already been put out.
It was reported that the fire began at a location where Ganduje raises cows, and that many animals perished in the blaze along with other multi-million naira properties that were destroyed.
According to a source, the cause of the fire is now unknown, although it is believed to have started during metal welding at the home while renovations were still being made to make it a suitable abode for the leaving governor of Kano State.
