Atiku receives second dose of COVID-19 vaccine

For the second time in barely a month, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar received a second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

The former number two citizen, who is currently in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, had received the first shot on January 6.

Atiku’s media aide Paul Ibe made this known via Twitter on Wednesday.

“H.E @atiku earlier today took his second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine. He had earlier had the first jab on the 6th of January,” Mr Ibe tweeted.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been approved by several countries including the United States and the United Kingdom.

Ex-Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu and Ebele, the wife of Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano are other high-profile Nigerians to have been vaccinated abroad.
