Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has predicated his decision to set up an anti-graft body on the need fulfil his campaign promises.
The governor had, on Wednesday, forwarded the Oyo State Anti-Corruption Bill to the state House of Assembly for legislative action.
Makinde, who transmitted a copy of the draft bill to his Special Adviser, Legislative Matters, Hon. Samuel Adejumobi, for onward presentation to Oyo State House of Assembly, further stated that he would as well waive his immunity to appear before the anti-corruption agency if the need ever arises declaring that the law would be no respecter of any man or office in the state.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa, in a statement disclosed that the governor also charged permanent secretaries in the state to be accountable as the purse-keepers of Oyo State.
