Vice President Yemi Osinbajo leaves Abuja for London, UK, to give public lecture at King’s College

On Sunday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will travel from Abuja to London, United Kingdom, where he will give a public lecture at King’s College.

According to a statement released by Osinbajo’s spokesperson Laolu Akande in Abuja, the lecture was a component of the school’s yearly Africa Week 2023 events.

When the University of London was founded later, in 1836, King’s College London, which was founded by King George IV and the Duke of Wellington in 1829, was one of the university’s two founding colleges.

The vice president will attend a lecture hosted by the King’s College Africa Leadership Centre (ALC) as a Special Guest and will meet with senior administrators of the esteemed university beforehand.

The lecture is anticipated to adhere to King’s College Africa Week 2023’s theme, “Changing Africa in a Shifting Global Landscape.”
An annual celebration of outreach, education, and research on Africa is known as Africa Week.

The opportunity to hear from African scholars, leaders, and thinkers is provided by the gathering of academics, researchers, and students.
Osinbajo’s lecture, as a political and intellectual leader from Africa, will center on the issue of how Africa can thrive in a world that is getting more complex.

Within a week, the vice president is anticipated to return to Nigeria.
