Over the weekend, Nigerian players continued their goal spree across Europe’s big leagues.

Both Super Eagles and Super Falcons stars have been on terrifying forms for their respective clubs this season, banging goals week in and week out.

TNN Sports brings you some of the most brilliant performances of Nigerian stars abroad in the past weekend:

Asisat Oshoala

Super Falcons and Barcelona Femení forward, Asisat Oshoala, shone the brightest among Nigerian players in Europe in the week under review. She bagged a double hat-trick during the week.

The lethal striker netted a consecutive hat-trick for Barcelona who pummeled Granadilla Tenerife 6-0 in the Spanish women’s league on Sunday.

Days earlier, she scored a hat-trick as Barcelona trounced Levantes Las Planas 7-0.

Oshoala scored Barcelona’s second (8th minute) third (12th minute) and fourth (27th minute) goals in Sunday’s victory.

The former Liverpool woman is on course for another Pichichi with 13 goals in 15 appearances so far, this season.

Super Eagles and Napoli’s talisman, Victor Osimhen continued his guns-blazing form as he opened the scoring with class for Spalleti’s Magical Blues in their 2-1 triumph over Jose Mourinho’s Roma in Sunday Serie A fixture.

The Nigerian’s sublime goal off Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s beautiful assist saw Napoli’s fans bouncing in Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the 17th minute.

Stephan El Shaarawy restored parity for Roma with 15 minutes left but Giovanni Simeone snatched a late winner to ensure the table toppers win the Derby de Sole and keep their historic scudetto dream alive.

Oshimhen has now taken his tally to 14 in 16 appearances this campaign.

Roma coach, Jose Mourinho has this said about the player after his latest performance: “He is of the same level as Drogba…”

“He’s a good player. I clapped for his goal from my seat.”

Ademola Lookman

The race for the Capocannoniere (Italian Golden Boot) is now a two-horse race between Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman and his compatriot Victor Osimhen of Napoli.

Lookman is in the form of his life in his first season in Serie A. The wide attacker scored five goals in three league matches for Atalanta this January, banging a brace twice.

His latest goal came in Atalanta’s 2-0 victory over Sampdoria at Gewiss Stadium on Saturday.

With 12 league goals in his berth, Lookman trails his international teammate Osimhen by two goals in the scoring chart.

No African player has ever won the prestigious Serie A Golden Boot, popularly called Capocannoniere.

Lookman vowed to “catch” Osimhen on the Serie A scorer’s table.

“I will catch him [Victor Osimhen].

“Not I might, I will!” he said.
