Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, has declared that during his second term in office, his administration will prioritise inclusive, “human-centric” governance.

The governor reaffirmed his dedication to making sure that no one is left out of the governance structure with the THEMES+ agenda, promising that both soft and hard infrastructure would receive adequate attention.

Sanwo-Olu spoke on Sunday at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos, second term inauguration thanksgiving service for him and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.

He declared, “Lagosians should expect a lot more from us in the second term. We committed to delivering a THEMES+ agenda that is focused on people. It is an agenda that incorporates every item on THEMES agenda and gives it a more flavorful, positive component, which will guarantee that no one is left out.

We want to create a better inclusive governance in which we will build both a lot of hard and soft infrastructure because both will directly affect the lives of our people. In particular, we want to build palliatives that will provide comfort and better relief for our citizens even in a challenging period with global economic issues.

“Our citizens need to comprehend that, despite the limitations of government, we must be able to lift them out of poverty and address their needs. Therefore, it is a deliberate human-centered agenda that will guarantee that no one, regardless of gender, tribe, or religion, will be left behind. To that end, we are holding ourselves accountable.
