The African Action Congress (AAC) has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari’s deployment of military personnel across Nigeria, especially in Rivers State during the general elections.
Despite criticism by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), there was relative calm when Africa’s most populous nation went to the polls.
Although not void of pockets of violence, particularly in the oil-rich Niger-Delta region, the election was adjourned to be a huge success.
No surprise the AAC were left astonished by the military for protecting the innocent and harmless electorates from thugs working for governor Wike.
The party said: “Without the professional intervention of the Nigerian Army and some other security agencies, nobody would have been able to withstand Wike & his marauding private Army masked in military uniforms & police vests armed to the teeth.”
