REVEALED: Secrets behind Buratai’s snake farm

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai has revealed the secrets behind his snake farm located on the Keffi-Abuja expressway, Nasarawa State.

The top military Chief revealed the secret while hosting a cross-section of pupils and students at a reception organized in his honour to commemorate the launching of the book “The Legend of Buratai” unveiled on the 17th of May, 2019.

Speaking at the occasion, the Army Chief revealed how he developed a passion for snakes from an early stage in life.

According to Buratai, his first encounter with a snake dates back to 1973 when he went hunting with his peers.

We went hunting and a snake chased me. I turned to face the snake and the snake out of fear crawled away.

“I also remember one evening in Angola, I had another encounter with snakes. I have also had contacts with snakes in my bedroom and in the year 1996, I saw a snake in my staff car (official car). Maybe this is the reason why I own a snake farm” he revealed amidst applause.

 

He thanked the author of the for devoting time to espouse his life and times to the world as a guide to the young generation.

The COAS maintained that his story will be an inspiration to the pupils and students in their careers.

Gen. Buratai devoted time to interact with students who graced the occasion and provided answers to their questions.

Author of the book, Dr Mohammed Abubakar Sani said the book which is a combination of fiction and fact will motivate the upcoming generation.

He also revealed that Volume II of the work will soon be released to the general public for proper understanding and assessments.
