Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday met with Nigeria’s oldest surviving soldier, 104-year-old, RTD Private Amuda Aluko.

The VP met the ex-soldier at the annual Nigeria Army Day celebration held at the Ikeja Cantonment.

He was on ground to represent President Muhammadu Buhari as the headliner of the event.

Prof. Osinbajo made this known on his official Twitter handle.

Alongside a video of their meeting, the VP wrote:

Sometimes on the job, I get to meet incredible people. Today, I met perhaps Nigeria’s oldest surviving soldier, 104 year-old, RTD Private Amuda Aluko at the Army Day Celebrations. He is almost as old as the Amalgamation of the the protectorates that became Nigeria.
