Some of the governorship aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have queried the N24 billion fixed by the National Executive Committee (NEC) for the political grouping’s nomination and expression of interest form, describing it as outrageous.
They bared their minds yesterday at a meeting with members of the National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.
It was gathered that the parley was convened to brief the gubernatorial hopefuls on the outcome of the last NEC meeting of the party and at the same time, to intimate them of the fees.
One of the aspirants, Dr. Idris Omede, told The Guardian that “the form stands at N20 million and the expression of interest, N1 million while the commitment to the party is N3 million.”
