Fire Fighters stationed at the Nigerian Air force Headquarters foiled what could have been described as a catastrophic fire accident on Tuesday.
The mysterious fire incidence started when a black Toyota Corolla, 2010 model belonging to one Lt Kennedy Anyanwu, a personnel working at the Nigerian Army Headquarters burst into flames directly opposite the Nigerian Navy Headquarters.
Our correspondent who was at the scene of the accident witnessed the proactive intervention of Headquarters Nigerian Air Force Fire Fighters who prevented a colossal damage to the car and threat to the lives of other road users.
TheNigerian gathered that Lt Anyanwu escaped unhurt.
Speaking to our Defence Correspondent immediately after the accident, the young officer who was still in shock appreciated the fire fighters for their speedy intervention.
“I was driving to the office when I noticed my car suddenly burst into flames. There was no sign of malfunction before the accident. I parked immediately I noticed my dashboard was already in flames.
“I want to thank the Fire Fighters from HQ Nigerian Air Force for their speedy intervention”.
The car which is badly damaged was later towed to an undisclosed location.
