Rapper and actor, Falz, appears to have taken his frustration of missing out on Simi to the Muslim group, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), in the video for his new single “Talk.”
The talented entertainer was beaten to the altar by Adekunle Gold on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old musician on Friday shared a snippet of the video on Instagram.
The new video was directed by Prodigeezy.
Falz’s song, ‘This is Nigeria’, released in June 2018, met criticism among some Muslim faithful.
The song is a parody of American rapper, Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America’.
MURIC criticised Falz’s ‘This Is Nigeria’ music video, saying the “video manifests ethnic bias against Fulanis while it ignored the criminal activities of ethnic militia of the Middle Belt who have also massacred Fulanis.”
The Muslim group threatened to sue the ‘Child of the World’ singer to court if he did not take down the video.
Like Gambino, Falz’s parody addresses essential national issues ranging from politics, religion, social vices and insecurity.
