Arsenal returned to winning way as they demolish Aston Villa in a six-goal thriller at Villa Park in Saturday’s Premier League fixture.

Ollie Watkins put the hosts in front just five minutes into the game. Villa’s lead lasted for just eleven minutes before Bukayo Saka equalized for the visitors.

Philippe Coutinho restored Unai Emery’s side’s lead in the 31st minute.

Oleksandr Zinchenko leveled for Arsenal in the 61st minute.

The host goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez scored an extra-time goal to gift the Gunners the lead, before Gabriel Martinelli doubled Mikel Arteta’s men’s lead in the last action of the game.

With the win, Arsenal returned to the summit of the Premier League table.

The other Saturday’s EPL fixture between Chelsea and Southampton at Stamford Bridge ended 0-1 with the visitors stealing all three points courtesy of James Ward-Prowse’s free-kick.

The game between Nothingam Forest and Manchester City ended in a stalemate. Bernardo Silva put the visitors in front in the 41st minute after he was set up by Jack Grealish.

Chris Wood’s counterforce for the hosts in the 84th minute off Morgan Gibbs-White’s cross had the Tricky Trees fans bouncing at City Ground.

Elsewhere, Everton pipped Leeds United 1-0 at Goodison Park courtesy of Seamus Coleman’s strike.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fell to a 0-1 defeat to AFC Bournemouth at home.

Brentford shared points with visiting Crystal Palace as Eberechi Eze’s opener is canceled out by a late equalizer from Vitaly Janelt.

Brighton fell to a narrow 0-1 defeat to Fulham courtesy of Manor Solomon’s late goal.
