Democracy Day: Zimbabwe VP Kembo Mohadi arrives Abuja

The Vice President of Zimbabwe, Kembo Mohadi has arrived Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital territory today ahead of June 12th Democracy Day.

Democracy Day marks the beginning of civilian rule in 1999 from decades long military governments since she gained independence in 1960.

June 12th, was recently approved as Democracy Day in order to honour the Late Chief MKO Abiola.

Upon arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the Vice President inspects the guard of honour mounted by the Nigerian Army.
