President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated the federal government’s commitment to improving the welfare of police and military personnel.

The president made this known on Thursday in Abuja as he received the 2021 audited report and 2023 budget proposal of the Police Service Commission (PSC), noting that his administration made the welfare of police officers a priority, and reforms a sacred duty.

President Buhari stated that when operatives are posted on duty or assignments and they know their families live well, morale would be high.

The president said, “I am pretty aware of the problems and challenges confronting the Nigeria Police Force and the Armed Forces.”

“The problem is relative to time and resources and this administration has done a lot with the limitations”.

The President also decried the fall in crude oil price as well as local production but assured that the federal government would continue to do its best despite the drop in revenue.
