Breaking: Tribunal fixes May 22nd to hear suit purporting to stop Buhari’s inauguration

The presidential election tribunal sitting in Abuja has slated May 22nd for the hearing of the application filed by the presidential candidate of the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) seeking to stop the inauguration of president Muhammadu Buhari on May 29th.

The applicant had filed the suit before the tribunal urging the court to give an order restraining the Chief Justice of Nigerian (CJN) from presiding over the oath of office taking of the President.

The chairman of the Tribunal who is the president of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachua adjourned till May 22nd citing improper service on the respondents including Buhari, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC)
