In a latest development, troops of the Nigerian Army has successfully repelled a Boko Haram terrorist attack at Rann, Kala-Balge local government area of Borno state, leaving scores of the insurgents dead.
According to reports reaching TheNigerian, many of the insurgents reached their Waterloo during the attack while many others narrowly escaped with gunshot injuries.
The foiled attack occurred at about 20 30 hours, Thursday, when the insurgents attacked the council headquarters located in Rann, shooting sporadically.
The Armed Forces Special Force stations in Rann responded swiftly and engaged the attackers which led to the killing of many of the insurgents while their vehicles were damaged.

“The casualties figure can’t be ascertained tonight but some of the attackers’ vehicles were damaged and abandoned,” she said.
