4.6m Nigerians have participated in NYSC scheme since 1973 – DG

The Director-General National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, has said that 4,644,808 Nigerians have participated in the scheme since its inception in 1973.

Brig-Gen Ibrahim, stated this on Thursday at a press conference in Abuja, noting that the scheme had been able to achieve national unity and integration as parts of its core aim.

He added that 1,132,409 corps members had also been equipped with Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development package of the scheme aimed at developing Nigerian youth among others.
