Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, has said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is the biggest problem of the country.

The monarch said this on Monday at the public presentation of a book by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olusegun Osoba, at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The book is titled “Battlelines: Adventures in Journalism and Politics”.

Akiolu had referenced a section of the memoir where Osoba claimed that Obasanjo deceived former governors of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and socio-cultural group, Afenifere.

“The problem we are having in this country is this and I will continue to say it that the number one problem of Nigeria is Obasanjo,” Akiolu said.

The Lagos monarch alleged that Bola Tinubu maintained his relevance in politics because he understood the deceptive nature of Obasanjo.

The book launch was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President Ahmed Lawan; Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Ibrahim Wase.

Also at the event were Tinubu; governors in the South West, Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson; former governors, ministers, diplomats, traditional rulers, among others.
